Nationals Wrap
Wow. It seems a bit crazy to be sitting here writing about the 2010 National Championship that is already in the books. It seems like the competition season and our site just got going a few weeks ago. Nevertheless, with the major U.S. events now complete we'll turn our focus to some regional races and get geared up for the World Championship in October, but before then, lets take one last spin around the 2010 U.S. National Championship... Competition Balloons in the USA Today
Its not too often that competitive ballooning gets good press, but this morning we were alerted that the Great Texas Balloon Race in Longview,TX was mentioned in the USA Today. The caption reads, "In Longview Texas: Pilot Chase Donner of Kentucky leads a group of racing balloons over scoring targets at the East Texas Regional Airport during the 32nd Annual Great Texas Balloon Race on Sunday."
