New Pong Rankings Available
This summer's third edition of the Pong rankings are now available through the link below. Drew Egerton continues to top the list, but rumor has it he is returning to action soon so look for some updated scores in the near future. The list is now up to sixty-eight pilots so check in and see how everyone is stacking up. As always the data used was obtained through the BFA's website here. BFA Junior Balloonist Camp - Albion, Mi

The BFA Jr. Balloonist Hot Air Balloon Camp is under way in Albion, Michigan this week. The camp is running from Sunday afternoon 17-Jul to Thursday afternoon 21-Jul. We have nineteen campers from eight different states (MI, IN, IL, OH, NY, PA, AZ, CA) attending this year at Albion, Michigan. Activites have included sessions on a basket search (find ballooning components like blast valve, fuel connections, fire extingisher, instruments, etc) on a Cameron, Aerostar and two Firefly baskets as well on balloon construction by Kim Wooge.
Three Tasks Finish the MidUSA Ohio Challenge
The original task sheet Sunday morning called for as many as four tasks to be flown by competitors Sunday morning, all with limited scoring areas to be sure officials had ample time to prepare results for the awards brunch. Unfortunately, slow winds and questionable visibility forced Sullivan to cancel the first of four tasks in order to limit the field's flight in the river bed.

The 2011 Great Midwest Balloon Fest wrapped up with a canceled flight Sunday morning due to high winds in the Olathe, Kansas area. There was hope that during the overnight hours the winds would calm enough to allow Event Director Scott McClinton to call at least one task that would give competitors one last opportunity to claim all or a portion of the $5,000 key grab.
